A hot race awaits the Østbergs with the Citroën C3 Rally2

The traditional Pécs rally, the Mecsek Rallye, will be held on the hottest weekend of the year so far, where Mads Ostberg and his co-driver Torstein Eriksen, who were forced to skip the previous championship race due to a world championship points score, will continue their participation in the Hungarian Rally Championship. ØFor the pair of Citroën Rally Team Hungary, as in all Hungarian races, everything is new here, but the popular Norwegian driver feels very good and is happy to compete again in front of a Hungarian audience.

Last year's WRC2 world champions, Mads Østberg and Torstein Eriksen, tested with the Tagai Racing Technology team in Bakonya before the fourth championship race of the Hungarian Rally Championship. The Norwegians have two gravel WC races behind them, in both races they proved that they can fight for every single point and in both races they deservedly stood on the podium.

After the test in Bakonya, when the northern pair were asked about the expected heat, the boys answered with a smile: "It was also hot in Sardinia, and the dust added to it..."

The Madsés took internal footage of the unknown tracks on the internet, and before the track tour, the pilot said that he would definitely like these sections better than their recent high-speeds in Eger. "We have good feelings before the race. These tracks are really cool based on the videos. The test went well, we can work together in a good atmosphere with the Tagai Racing Technology team."

The 54th Mecsek Rallye is not only a domestic championship race, but also part of the Historic Eb and the international Mitropa Rally Cup. Accordingly, in addition to the most modern rally cars, those interested can also see classic racing cars and international drivers in Pécs. The program includes a tour of the track on Thursday, a start ceremony on Friday and an evening sprint stage, and then on Saturday, nine sprints will be completed and the finishing podium will be set up on Széchenyi Square in downtown Pécs.

The racing pair of Citroën Rally Team Hungary were impressed by the downtown of the Mediterranean county seat. “What a beautiful place this is! We already love Pécs! I feel like we're in for a really good weekend here!" Mads said.

The team is waiting for the fans with autograph cards and posters in the service park set up in the EXPO Center in Pécs during the race and wishes everyone good support by the tracks!
