Interview with Frici Turán:

Overall, I can say that we started the season well. Veszprém was very difficult for us, we had some technical problems and the qualification did not go as we would have liked. For this reason, we cleaned the road all Saturday, which was of course a disadvantage for us. The fact that we came second in the Hungarian evaluation is basically good, but we couldn't fight for the positions we really wanted, but I think we got the most out of this competition.

We also came second in Diósgyőr, so we have mixed feelings. We had a very good battle with Gabié Németh and in the end we came in second place due to a penalty that we did not consider fair, which was due to the touch of a retarder. This obviously has a negative side, but also a positive side. We discussed with Zoli Szujó after what had happened and he promised that the slowing down issue would be reviewed and made well documented. We, as well as the viewers, felt that we had not broken the slow motion. Of course, we got to the bottom of it, but that didn't exhaust the concept of "slowing down destruction", but we couldn't defend our right, because at the moment it's not possible. I don't feel this situation is ideal, but according to Zoli's promise, they will try to come up with a framework that can be used to make quick and fair decisions both from the side of the sports referees and the competitors. At least that's what we got with this case. Regardless, it was a very good race, although I feel that we won by four tenths, but from Gáborék's point of view, we came second by nine whole sixes.

Now comes the Mecsek Rallye, the favorite. We always joked among ourselves that the one who has already won in Mecsek counts in the field. We've already won twice. Basically, my entire career can be linked to the Mecsek, even from the "mountain" period I always hold the top of the track among body cars. There were a lot of nice wins there, we were able to win some very iconic races, obviously they had one or two failures, but it has always been very close to my heart. What is important is that we lead the championship, with the two second places we are doing well, but it would be good to increase this existing difference. We want to win!
