Interview with Tibor Érdi Jr.:

We prepared very well for the competition, we have already won the Mecsek Rallye twice in a row, in light of this, we could not come here without winning being the primary goal. We paid even more attention to the car during the preparation, it is currently fine. We made a new gas pedal cable for it, it got new half-shaft joints, we disassembled the transmission, which was not necessarily necessary, but we looked into it anyway. I already know the tracks by heart, Pisti and I both know our stuff, we go with a ready itinerary. Regardless of this, we still go out for a field visit on the forestry roads, because there it is very important to be aware of the condition of the roads. It has rained a lot in the past few days and we can expect it even this afternoon, which may change their quality. The image formed during the tour of the track can change quite a bit, since the fields of ORB2 and ORB3 will also pass in front of us during the race, and we cannot know in advance what corners will be cut, what they will bring up in front of us. We will be the first car on the no longer clean track.

I used to be busy - even though I've been competing for 25 years - but now I'm not nervous.

I really like the Abaliget-Árpádtetto section, and the car likes it a lot. The faster the track, the better the Ford feels, but tight fast tracks don't suit it so well. I also like the section in Trefortpuszta in the direction of route 6, it doesn't come as well on the way back. We won the speed stages last year, we'll see how we manage to perform this year.

So far, our year shows a pretty good picture. We are at 100 percent at home, but we are not doing well in the EC. In the Czech Republic, we were eliminated due to a broken gas pedal cable, and in Spain, a few minutes before the start, something broke in the steering gear, so we had to complete the race that way. It's a miracle that we got a point from there.

We will decide how to proceed based on the results of the EC race in Meszcz and the Austrian EC race to be held in a month. If they succeed, then we will focus on the EC, if not, then we will go through the Hungarian championship.
