(EHRC) Vojtech Stajf: with new car, old navigator

A cseh Vojtech Stajf, Vladimir Zelinka double with a Toyota Celica GT Four ST165, in category 4, and starts the race in Pécs with starting number 8 of the European Championship.

"I was in Mecsek for the first time last year, and it was my first win in Group 2, also during my Historic rally competition, so I have good memories of last year's race. I really liked the stages, they were quite challenging and different from the Czechs. I felt good here, so I decided to come back again this year. Now I come with a Toyota Celica, which is a new car for me. We started rebuilding and preparing it during the winter. We struggled a bit to find the right parts and finished the car before the Czech race, but we didn't have time to test it, so we couldn't finish the Vltava Rally.

The car is now ready, we have tested it, and I hope that we will be luckier in Mecsek and reach the finish line. I'm coming with the same navigator as last year, because the one I originally signed up with can't start for health reasons, so I chose my last year's navigator. Our team is complete and we are striving to be the champions of the 4th group. We are really looking forward to it and hopefully the weather will be good without rain because we have only tested the Toyota in dry conditions so I would prefer good weather. So, we have very good feelings about the Mecsek Rallye, I think the organizers are nice people, because last year we lived in the service park with our motorhome - and we plan to do the same this year - we felt that we received support and a lot of help. That's why I want to thank them. The atmosphere in Hungary was very friendly."
