"We are working on the car right now, I hope we can fix the problems" - said Ferenc Wirtmann – It is certain that we are in a very difficult situation since the FIA ​​allowed new cars to enter the field. Nevertheless, we want to win our category at the European Championship, and it would be absolutely great to take third place! Regarding the latter, I feel that the first two positions are taken, we are not in the same weight group with these opponents, but they can be beaten one by one. One thing is for sure: we will never give up!"

And then there is also the Hungarian championship, which they also want to win. Since they are currently not in the lead, they are in dire need of a successful performance because they have to catch up to the lead.

If we look at the routine and the results achieved so far, not many people in Mecse have been better than the Wirtmanns.

"It's always a special experience for me to start here, because I competed here in Mecse for the first time in 1973, and nearly fifty years have passed since then! I won absolutely two rallies, five or six historic national championships, and European championship races as well. I'm glad to be able to come again, because my favorite courses are here, for example, Árpádtetto is the top of my heart!"
