After two years, Zweitakt Memory returns to the Mecsek Rallye!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A friendly field, a great past and huge nostalgia: the official 2TM entry list is now available, featuring 7 true rally Trabants. No replica feeling, no scale models \u2014 these are real competition cars with two-stroke history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trabants hold a special place in the memory of Hungarian motorsport. Back in the day, socialist-era car types often represented the accessible machinery in Hungarian motorsport, and for three decades the Trabant was one of the most important first steps for many competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rallying then proved that \u201cHonecker\u2019s revenge\u201d, as the little Trabants were jokingly nicknamed in parts of the Eastern Bloc, could turn from a gentle road car into a real weapon in a rally environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Countless stories, sounds, smells, memories and even more nostalgic smiles are connected to this iconic type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 Zweitakt Memory field can first be seen on Friday morning, June 12, at Sz\u00e9chenyi Square in P\u00e9cs, where the Trabants will be the first to take the spotlight: the complete Zweitakt Memory field will be on display before later showing what they can do on the special stages as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
