Rally1 declarations at the end of the first round
Mads Ostberg-Torstein Eriksen (Citroen C3 Rally2): So far the race has been pretty good, I like the fast stages, I really enjoyed it. It was unpredictable what the course would be like because of yesterday's rain, but compared to yesterday it was much easier because of the good weather.
Gzregorz Grzyb-Kamil Kozdron (Skoda Fabia Rally2 EVO): We were a bit surprised that the first stage was so slippery, we lost a lot of time because of it. I was hoping that we would achieve a good result on Árpádtetto, because I know the fast one well anyway. We try to go faster, but it's hard to follow Mads because his car is more powerful. We will try to make fewer mistakes and go faster on the next fast ones, we hope we will succeed!
Ollé Sasa- Ollé Rebeka (Skoda Fabia R5): We really don't know what happened! We made a very good time on Árpádtető, we enjoyed the speed, but we destroyed a speed bump. We may have hit the car there, because after that we couldn't stay on the road at all. We slid off the road, turned around, everything was there! At the end of the fast, we pulled over, looked around the car and decided to end the race before it was a total loss. We continue with renewed strength in Veszprém!
Krisztián András-Kertész Hadik (Ford Fiesta R5 MKII): Basically, I'm satisfied, although I set the car to fast in the last two, which didn't work. But there is no problem with that, we will restore it in the service center and it will be fine in the next round. At the end of the first fast run, the road was still a little wet, we almost hit the tape barrier there, but apart from that we had no adventure.
László Turán Frigyes-Bagaméri (Volkswagen Polo R5): We started the day well, although we took a bit of a risk with the choice of tires. We chose the hard mixture, which was good for Árpádtető, but we were at a disadvantage in second and third. The tracks remained very dirty, the grip changed and we could not maintain the temperature of the hard tire. We don't get much from the others, but we have so many disadvantages that we are easily outworked. We are not desperate, but we are trying to change and accelerate.
Velenczei Ádám-Bacigal Igor (Skoda Fabia R5 EVO): The first speed was a disaster, we took a retarder with us for a while. There was such a smell of rubber in the car, we couldn't imagine what it was. We received a lot, then we tried to pull ourselves together, but only partially succeeded.
István Szauer Gergő-Kerék (Peugeot 208 Rally4): The most important thing at the beginning of today was to keep our advantage from yesterday. and reach the goal. Let's see what state the fast ones are in, what conditions prevail. This was the team level expectation! I don't want to speed up at all costs in the next lap either, I want to drive at my own pace.
Jr. Annamária László Ranga-Buda (Peugeot 208 Rally4): The first round was exciting! The pace is very high, the track is slippery, it turned out to be a good match! We're not doing very well with tires, but we trust the best!
Róbert Bútor-Tagai Róbert (Citroen C3 WRC): Our racing is still adventurous! Compared to how calmly I drove the Skoda, now the car drives me, not me him. It's a great experience to drive, but I don't drive as well as I should. We slide a lot for no reason, we need to change and refine to increase the grip. The car offers a dizzying experience, but its settings are not ideal.
