The Mekler family is going through quite troubled days. the wife, Mikó Edit, who is also a navigator at the races, as he recently broke two ribs due to an accident at home, so it is still questionable whether he can sit in the mother-in-law's seat.

"Recently, I even thought about not running at all. In the end, I rejected this, but it is still questionable whether Edit can sit next to me. If not, then we will start with Zoli Sárdi", László Mekler lists his doubts.

Those who don't really like Mecsek tracks ("I don't care"), but still wouldn't miss the competition. Because there are things that he really likes.

"I don't start anywhere else in Hungary, only Mecse, and that's only because Jelen Pisti talked me into it at the time. After getting to know the audience there, the milieu that cannot be experienced anywhere else, I cannot miss this competition. Come down to Lapis, the fans are standing in the forest, the campfires are burning... We've fallen in twice, both times they immediately ran to help, you never forget that kind of thing. Not to mention that I love downtown Pécs, and besides, quite a few foreign friends want to see me, so I can't stay away because of them either."

In this year's series of the Historic Eb, the Meklers were also present at Costa Brava and Targa Florio. The latter did particularly well, as they won their category and finished in eighth place overall.
