The devil of technology hindered the Italian duo Zippo and Piceno on Friday evening. Although they drove one winning, two 2nd, and a 3rd time on the first four stages, they could only finish the day in 8th place.

The repair of the Audi's cardan shaft took too much time, so they missed the Parc Ferme at night, for which they received a 1:50 minute penalty. This relegated them to 8th place.

However, this did not discourage them, so they immediately drove two absolute times with the repaired car on Saturday, catching up to 5th place after the 7th speed. As the pilot puts it, they see victory as hopeless, but they don't give up, they keep going as fast as they can.
