Due to their cold and flu-like symptoms, they also had a covid test performed, which was positive, so they were quarantined and of course cannot start at the Mecsek.

As the pilot put it, "something was hiding" in his navigator the day before, but in the morning his throat and joints started to hurt. That's why they went to get tested as a precaution, and because it was positive, they already started packing. 

He apologized to the fans, thanked them for their encouraging words, and wished his fellow drivers good racing.

The Wirtmanns already won a race - the first historic ob on Orfű - this year in Baranya; then they were eliminated at the Boldogkő Rally. However, they hope that they can successfully return to Veszprém.
